Security breaches on the rise...

During 2009,  almost 600 incidents involving disclosure of personal data have been reported, potentially affecting more than 220 million individuals with the largest numbers of disclosures coming retail and other general businesses:

  • 53% retail and other general business
  • 18% governmental or military agencies
  • 15% health care facilities or companies
  • 15% educational institutions
